OBJECTIVE
Drive targeted reach to On Tap’s key audience to build awareness and drive new member growth, specifically against auto loans and HELOC/mortgages.
BACKGROUND
On Tap Credit Union (formerly known as Coors Credit Union) has been open since 1954. It’s the 14th largest credit union in Colorado with 20,000+ members. The company name was changed to celebrate the credit union’s long-standing brewery heritage. It offers a wide range of financial products and service “on tap” and is ready to serve a growing membership.
PROCESS
Blue Onion Media analyzed 1,700 zip codes to determine which had 80% of On Tap’s accounts. We discovered an opportunity to target the top 84 zip codes throughout the Denver market to reach a much larger audience and expand membership outside of the two local branch zip codes.
RESULTS
Using two campaigns, Auto Loan and Mortgage/HELOC promotions with an expanded geographic area, On Tap’s saw an 88% lift in combined New Member growth from Auto/HELOC loans and a 12% increase in combined funded Auto & HELOC loans.
